Sprout + Stem offers a variety of different class themes for team-building days, personal parties, or children’s events. Our workshop leader has taught classes for everybody, from inquisitive adults at tech companies such as Yelp, Amazon, Facebook, and LinkedIn, to the sweetest little botanists at San Francisco elementary schools. Our classes can be customized to fit the event to your specifications, just fill out a request form and we'll handle the rest! 

Succulent + Cacti Workshop

Workshop participants will learn the basic history and biology of succulents and cacti, make their own garden or terrarium with step by step instructions, and be provided with fool-proof care instructions/tips and tricks to keep their creation happy and healthy for years to come! Available in person or virtually, on the platform of your choice!

Includes: Terrarium vessel or bowl, 3-5 succulents and/or cacti (depending on class size, vessel, and budget) moss and top dressings, comprehensive care guide, and a 15% discount on any care or online purchases from Sprout + Stem.  

Price: $85 a person, USPS two day shipping included.

Carnivorous World Workshop

In this class, students will dive into the intense and wondrously deadly world of carnivorous plants while learning about the many different species of carnivores and their methods of capturing and digesting prey (including fly traps, pitcher plants, sundews, and many more). Students will take home a terrarium full of carnivores that are ready and willing to eat all of those pesky kitchen fruit flies for years to come! Available in person only.

Includes: Three to four different species of plant (depending on availability), terrarium vessel, top dressing, comprehensive care guide, and a one time 15% discount on any care or purchase from Sprout + Stem.

Air Plant Workshop

In this workshop, students will learn all about the incredible word of epiphytic plants (which includes orchids, tillandsias, and bromeliads), make their own large driftwood air plant centerpiece for a coffee or dining room table, and be provided with all the knowledge they may need to keep their air plants looking bright and beautiful. Available in person or virtually, on the platform of your choice!

Children's Workshop

Built especially for the natural science-loving young minds out there, the kid's classes are sure to impress! These workshops focus on either succulents and cacti, carnivorous plants, or air plants, depending on which theme best suits the audience. Kids will learn basic history and biology of said plant, make their own small terrarium, and be provided with full care instructions to study carefully and take home. Available in person only.

Includes: Terrarium vessel, 3-4 succulents/2 carnivorous plants/3-5 tillandsia depending on class theme, and a comprehensive care guide to take home. Parents will receive a one time 15% discount on any service from Sprout + Stem.
